Between environmental sustainability and conscious crafting sit the designs of FORESTA. This emerging interior design brand, a child of Honduran artisans and Berlin-based designer, Rebecca Goddard, is focused on fair trade, sustainable production, and environmental and social responsibility. Not to mention timeless, well-crafted pieces that are everlasting classics in the home.

Built from organically-grown, ethically-harvested teak and mahogany, the materials are sourced from environmentally-conscious foresters and crafted by local artists in Honduras. It’s both an effort to keep traditional methods of forestry and craft alive and a way to create some of the most sustainable and quality pieces available for your interior design.

This first collection, a collaboration between FORESTA and Rebecca, is a series of small pieces for the home—the Tallo Wardrobe, the Copán Side Table, the Tez Lounge Table, the Aldea Tray, the Arco Candle Holder, and the Forma Plinth. Appropriately named Collection One, these six pieces are a reflection of the designer and brand’s commitment to slow craft and natural beauty, coupled with an appreciation for the delicacy of the environment. Add in a little of the on-trend minimalism that Copenhagen is known for and the collection is an unsurpassable touch of Earthly elegance.

This week, FORESTA will showcase Collection One during Copenhagen’s annual design festival, 3daysofdesign. The presentation will take place in a joint exhibition with NYT I BO, where both brands will reveal their unique European-Caribbean blend of design that focuses on the allure of organic hardwood in the home.
