The dreamy getaways of Silent Living in Portugal radiate a warmth, serenity, and elegance that leaves no soul untouched. The holiday houses feel very cozy and welcoming, just like home, because that is exactly what they once were: a family’s home.

Family, history, nature, peace, and simplicity are the key elements of Silent Living—they’re also the building blocks of this gorgeous dwelling. Wanting to keep the heritage alive, they connected the past to the coming future and in doing so, created a timeless space. Lying between the rolling hills of the Portuguese Montemor o Novo, architect Manuel Aires Mateus renovated the farmhouse in such a way that it opens up to the landscape and the vastness of the property.

Casa no Tempo has been in the family for many years. It was our grandfather’s wish that we look after it for the next generation
