The AEONIC Spa Hotel in Mykonos is a true interior gem infused with serenity and a beautiful natural atmosphere. The suites, spa, and communal areas were designed by the Greek interior design studio Stones and Walls and reflect their founding philosophy that “design influences people’s cultures and has a positive impact on their lives,” which is exactly what the hotel aims to do. Aeonic means lasting for an eon or for a lifetime, but what it means to the hotel is “that you can look forward to bliss without any hassle or fuss within the premises of a luxury boutique hotel.”

Stones and Walls captured the essence of Mykonos in the timeless and neutral interior, where a sober and understated palette is used in combination with dark wooden accents. Each space is filled with a sense of calmness and expanse, guaranteeing a relaxing yet interesting and exciting stay.

Stones and Walls’ designs and projects are known to be friendly environments of high aesthetic values, which is proven again in the AEONIC design. Unlike many spa resorts, the focus here is on authenticity and understated luxury instead of extravagance. The studio describes the theme of the hotel as clean, modern spaces with softer wabi-sabi moments. Presenting contemporary minimalism pared back to its essence, the rooms breathe tranquility, peace, and simplicity. This is accomplished by the use of natural materials such as marble, local stone, and oak. These raw materials celebrate a natural imperfection together with decorative pieces like artisanal art, ceramics, and organic-shaped lights.

The sober interior palette is complemented by the striking view of the surroundings where water takes center stage. Each room has its own outdoor space with a pool or a jacuzzi. The stunning sea view, spacious premises, and high-quality, haptic interior design make for a unique experience of “barefoot luxury.” There are delightful common spaces like a restaurant, bar, lounge, and so on; all the essential facilities are present, and a dramatic atrium in the center of the building serves as a core element. It not only connects the three levels but creates “an atmospheric game of light and shadow” as well. On the second floor, there’s a wellness area that moves away from the communal areas through a different palette of wood-like views, blending in with the natural scenery.
